Want to Rank Higher on Google Maps?

If you want to rank higher on Google Maps, here is a simple seven step process.

First things first, you need to create a Google My Business Profile. To do this you will need to head over to google.com/business. Make sure that you verify your business with Google too…. that’s a very important step.

Once you have verified your business with Google, fill out ALL the sections on your profile. The completeness of your listing impacts your rank. A complete listing includes: Contact info & hours, Category & Description, Reviews, Questions & Answers, Photos and Posts.

Step 3, make sure to use a local phone number. This will reassure both Google and searchers that your business is located in that area.

For the 4th step, properly categorize your business. Being listed in a category enables Google to show your business for searches that don’t include your business name.

Next, include LOTS of keywords in your business description. Keywords are the words that your ideal customers are using to search for businesses like yours online.

The 6th step: keep your hours and contact information updated. The more accurate and helpful your listing is to consumers; the more Google will favor it in results.

For the next to last step, Add GREAT photos to your listing. Google LOVES photos because photos build trust. They give searchers an idea of what it’s like to be at your business. The last step on how to get more views on Google Maps is to collect Google Reviews. The only thing Google loves more than photos is reviews. The more positive and more recent reviews that you have equates to higher rank.

So there you go…complete all these steps on watch your listings fly up the organic results and increase your visibility on Google Maps.
